September 11 (Sunday, 2:30-6:00 p.m.): Eric and Autumn Rose Lester (fiddle) play for the “Mostly Waltz” dance at the Concord Scout House, organized by the Folk Arts Center of New England.  The dance will be mostly waltzes – but also include some couple-dances like a hambo, a tango, polkas, a zwiefacher, and a few swing tunes.  There will be a dance lesson 2:30-3:30 p.m., with open dancing 3:30-6:00 p.m.  The Concord Scout House, 74 Walden Street, Concord, MA.  General admission is $15, $13 for Folk Arts Center members, or $7 for students/need a break.

September 10: Eric plays for a private event.

August 20 (Saturday, 8:00-11:00 p.m.): The Moving Violations (Ron Grosslein, Van Kaynor, and Eric Eid-Reiner) play for the 3rd Saturday Greenfield Contra Dance, with Dereck Kalish calling.  Van will be away this month, so Autumn Rose Lester (fiddle) will be joining Ron and Eric for this dance.  There will be a newcomers' workshop from 7:30-8:00 p.m. followed by the contra dance from 8:00-11:00 p.m.  The Guiding Star Grange, 401 Chapman Street, Greenfield, MA.  Admission: $12-20 sliding scale ($10 for students and children, $8 for under 13) at the door.

August 20 Covid details - All dance series at the Guiding Star Grange have agreed to a shared Covid-19 policy, including requiring proof of vaccine + 1 booster if eligible for boosters, all dancers wearing N95/KN95/KF94 masks, exposure notification, protocols for maximizing ventilation, attendance cap of 150 or fewer, and more.  Testing is recommend prior to attending, but not required.  At The Moving Violations dance, all performers will be masked.  The band will be checking the CDC Community Level map on Thursday at 8pm and may cancel if we feel the Covid metrics warrant it (including any contiguous county being red).  In the event of cancellation, the band will announce it on the band’s Facebook page, The Greenfield Dance is Awesome FB group, and by emailing those who have pre-registered.

June 20 (Monday, 7:30-10:30 p.m.): Eric plays for the play for Monday Contra at the Concord Scout House with Julie Metcalf (fiddle), Catherine Miller (fiddle), and Jack O'Connor (mandolin, banjo, percussion).  Don Veino will be calling.  There will be a beginner session at 7:10 p.m.  The Concord Scout House, 74 Walden Street, Concord, MA.  Admission: You pick a price - $10, $15, or $20.  Pre-registration is required.

October 2 (Saturday afternoon): Eric plays on the main stage with his dad, Dave Reiner (fiddle, mandolin), Pete Anick (fiddle, mandolin, and vocals), and Rich Stillman (banjo and vocals) for the outdoor Ayer town festival.  In addition to the music, local organizations and merchants will have booths, and there will be a variety of food for sale.  The event will take place in a large parking lot downtown in Ayer, MA.

June 10 (online Wednesday, 5:00 p.m. EDT): Eric and Autumn Rose Lester (fiddle) lead another Fiddle Hell Jam Hour on Facebook Live (online).  We'll mainly be playing New England and Irish tunes at moderate speeds.  Play along on your instrument from the safety of your own home!  The jam will be live on the Fiddle Hell Massachusetts Facebook page.  The Tip Jar is at https://fiddlehell.org/online (credit/debit cards, PayPal, checks).  80% goes to the musicians and 20% goes to Fiddle Hell costs and scholarships.

May 30 (online Saturday, 7:30 p.m. EDT): Eric and Autumn Rose Lester (fiddle) are playing a lively concert of traditional and contemporary music from Ireland, New England, Cape Breton, and beyond.  We'll be including a number of our original tunes! January 25 (Saturday, noon-midnight): The Moving Violations (Ron Grosslein, Van Kaynor, and Eric Eid-Reiner) will be one of the four bands at the Snow Ball at the Peterborough Town Hall, 1 Grove Street, Peterborough, NH.  It's always such a blast!  The event runs from noon to midnight, and The Moving Violations are playing for a 3-hour slot from 6:00-9:00 p.m. with Angela DeCarlis calling.  Also performing: Alchemy with Will Mentor calling (noon-3:00 p.m.), Elixir with Nils Fredland calling (3:00-6:00 p.m.), and Polaris with Steve Zakon-Anderson calling (9:00 p.m.-midnight).   Admission is $28, or pay your age if under 25.

January 12 (Sunday, 3:00-5:30 p.m.): Eric plays for the Mostly Waltz for Boston series with Autumn Rose Lester (fiddle).  The Folk Arts Center of New England's monthly Sunday dances in this series feature a lesson in waltz basics, figures, or styles from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m., followed by live music for dancing until 5:30 p.m.  Intermediate-level "cool moves" or other dance variations will be taught during the break, from 4:10 to 4:30 p.m.  A variety of waltz tunes and tempos are played during the session; every third number is a different couple dance, such as a polka, hambo, schottische, swing, tango, blues, or zwiefacher.  To protect the hall's wooden floor and to make turning easier, please change from street shoes to clean shoes, ideally leather-soled, before dancing.  Concord Scout House, 74 Walden Street, Concord, MA.  Admission is $12; $10 for FAC members; and $6 for young adults.  Your second time attending this Mostly Waltz dance is free!

December 31 (New Year's Eve, 8:00 p.m.-12:15 a.m.): Eric will be playing again for the New Year's Eve Contra Dance at the Concord Scout House.  This is always a really fun night, featuring lots of contras, along with some singing squares, a ton of positive energy, great refreshments and snacks, and a fun countdown at midnight of course!  Desserts and snacks are welcome for the potluck at the break at 10:30 p.m.  The dances are taught and beginners are welcome, so please feel free to bring yourself and your friends, even if it’s their first time doing this kind of dancing.  No partner needed.  Don Veino will be calling using gender neutral terms (larks/ravens).  Music will be by Debby Knight (fiddle, piano), Julie Metcalf (fiddle), Amy Larkin (fiddle), Jack O'Connor (mandolin, banjo, percussion), and Eric Eid-Reiner (piano).  Concord Scout House, 72 Walden Street, Concord, MA. November 7-10 (Thursday-Sunday): Eric plays for various workshops/sessions at the 15th Annual Fiddle Hell as well as helping with logistics for the event.  Over the course of the weekend, Eric will accompany several New England and other jams, play for the contra dance, accompany a few folks in the concert, and more.  The weekend features dozens of fiddlers from around the country, teaching and leading jams in many, many styles!  It's a blast for sure!  Last year, there were 700+ fiddler (as well as viola, mandolin, cello, guitar, banjo, and singing) participants!!  On Saturday night, there will be a concert (7:00-9:15 p.m.) and contra dance (9:30-11:00 p.m.) open to the public.  This will be our fifth year at The Westford Regency, 219 Littleton Road, Westford, MA.  Sessions, workshops, the concert and dance, late night jams, and (optional and separate cost) lodging are all be under one roof!  Check out the Reiner Family Band web site for more info, cost for the weekend, and the full schedule for Fiddle Hell.

October 19 (Saturday, approximately 10:30 a.m.-3:15 p.m.): Along with David Reiner (fiddle, mandolin), and Paul Harty (guitar, mandolin, harmonica, and vocals), Eric will be playing the music stage at the Farm Day Festival at the Daniel Webster Sanctuary of the Mass Audubon Society in Marshfield, MA.  A great outdoor day of family fun, with kids games, arts and crafts vendors, food, and more!  Entry costs TBA.  Please note that the event will be postponed to October 26 in case of rain.

January 18-20 (Friday evening-Sunday afternoon): The Moving Violations play for the Orange Blossom Ball Contra Dance Weekend.  The other band will be Giant Robot Dance -- Andrew VanNorstrand on fiddle and guitar, Noah VanNorstrand on drums, Andrew Marcus on accordion, Aaron Marcus on piano/banjo/concertina, and Michael and Alex Ferguson both on trombones.  The callers for the weekend are Lisa Greenleaf, Bob Isaacs, and Andy Shore.  There will also be waltz sessions with Sound Traveler Band.  Dance all weekend to lots of live music on a sprung dance floor!  Gold Star Ballroom, 3100 S. November 1-4 (Thursday-Sunday): Eric plays for various workshops/sessions at the 14th Annual Fiddle Hell as well as helping with logistics for the event.  Fiddle Hell has expanded to be 4 days this year!  Over the course of the weekend, Eric will accompany several New England and other jams, play for the contra dance, accompany a few folks in the concert, and more.  The weekend features dozens of fiddlers from around the country, teaching and leading jams in many, many styles!  It's a blast for sure!  There are typically 300+ fiddler (as well as viola, mandolin, and cello) participants!!  On Saturday night, there will be a concert (7:00-9:30 p.m.) and contra dance (9:30-11:00 p.m.) open to the public.  This will be our fifth year at The Westford Regency, 219 Littleton Road, Westford, MA.  Sessions, workshops, the concert and dance, late night jams, and (optional) lodging are all be under one roof!  Check out the Reiner Family Band web site for more info, cost for the weekend, and the full schedule for Fiddle Hell.

August 5 (Sunday, workshops all day, concert 7:30-9:30 p.m.): Dave Reiner, Laurel Martin, David Kaynor, and Cathy Mason will be teaching fiddle workshops at beginning, intermediate and advanced levels at the Fruitlands Fiddle Fest.  Fiddlers, cellists, mandolin, banjo players will also find opportunities to learn, jam and practice performing at open mic sessions.  Pack up a picnic basket, bring a blanket and enjoy the music and the workshops.  The museum galleries will be open, as well, for participants to enjoy during the lunchbreak.  The day will conclude with an evening concert performed by the instructors, with Eric backing up Dave Reiner and David Kaynor.  The Fruitlands Museum galleries and trails remain open for museum visitors with regular admission 10 a.m.-5 p.m.  The workshops cost $75 for Members of The Trustees of Reservations and $90 for Nonmembers.  Friends and family may purchase tickets separately for the evening concert; admission to the evening concert only is $10 for Members and $15 for Nonmembers.

March 11 (Sunday, 3:00-5:30 p.m.): Eric plays for the Mostly Waltz for Boston series with Dave Langford (fiddle).  The Folk Arts Center of New England's monthly Sunday dances in this series feature a lesson in waltz basics, figures, or styles from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m., followed by live music for dancing until 5:30 p.m.  Intermediate-level "cool moves" or other dance variations will be taught during the break, from 4:10 to 4:30 p.m.  A variety of waltz tunes and tempos are played during the session; every third number is a different couple dance, such as a polka, hambo, schottische, swing, tango, blues, or zwiefacher.  To protect the hall's wooden floor and to make turning easier, please change from street shoes to clean shoes, ideally leather-soled, before dancing.  Concord Scout House, 74 Walden Street, Concord, MA.  Admission is $12; $10 for FAC members; and $6 for young adults.  Your second time attending this Mostly Waltz dance is free!

February 23-25 (Friday-Sunday): The Moving Violations (Ron Grosslein, Van Kaynor, and Eric Eid-Reiner) play for Dancing with the GODS Weekend, a contra dance weekend in Gainesville, FL.  The Figments (Ethan Hazzard-Watkins, Anna Patton, and Owen Morrison) are the other band, which will be great fun!  Janine Smith and Adina Gordon will be calling.  The weekend is expected to sell out!

February 18 (Sunday, 7:30-10:30 p.m.): Eric will join Liz and Dan Faiella (fiddle and guitar) in playing for the BIDA (Boston Intergenerational Dance Advocates) Dance.  TBA will be calling.  There is a beginner's workshop from 7:00-7:30 p.m.  And feel free to bring something for the dessert potluck at the break.  The dance is held at the Masonic Hall in Porter Square (right on the Red Line!), 1950 Massachusetts Avenue, Cambridge MA.  Taking the T is recommended, but there is also free street parking (meters and residential are open to all on Sundays); don't park in the Shaw's parking lot or you may be towed. Admission is $5-15 sliding scale, pay as you're able.

Both areas will feature Dance Parties on Friday night, Saturday night and Sunday afternoon. Otherwise, these areas will be used for workshops with swing and hambo or special themed dances.  Other areas will be available for participatory singing, informal jam sessions, and other activities. Or you can stroll the grounds, kayak, canoe, shoot archery, get a massage, relax, and hang out in this beautiful setting!  Rates on the web site depend on occupancy and are all inclusive of lodging, food, dancing, and most other activities (other than massage therapy).

January 21 (Saturday, noon-midnight): The Moving Violations (Ron Grosslein, Van Kaynor, and Eric Eid-Reiner) will be one of the four bands at the Snow Ball in Peterborough, NH.  It's always such a blast!  The event runs from noon to midnight, and The Moving Violations are playing for a 3-hour slot from 3:00-6:00 p.m. with Lisa Greenleaf calling.  Also performing: Pete's Posse with Will Mentor calling (noon-3:00 p.m.), Maivish with Adina Gordon calling, and The Latter Day Lizards with Steve Zakon-Anderson calling.  (There's no regular MVs dance in Greenfield tonight due to the Snow Ball.) January 13 (Friday, 7:00 or 7:30-11:30 p.m.): Eric plays for the second half (9:30-11:30 p.m.) of the opening dance with siblings Liz and Dan Faiella on fiddle and guitar at the Ralph Page Dance Legacy Weekend, which runs Friday night to Sunday, January 13-15.  Caller TBA.  The Ralph Page Dance Legacy Weekend combines the best of traditional and contemporary New England Contradance and music.  The weekend takes place mainly in the ballroom of the UNH Memorial Union Building, 83 Main Street, Durham, NH.  Preferred parking for the Memorial Union Building is in Parking Lot C, on Mill Road.  Detailed directions can be found here.  Admission to the weekend of dancing, along with workshops, jams, community, and history, is $80 (general), $60 (first-time attendees), $40 (ages 12-25), or free (children under 12).  Special rates are available for portions of the weekend, such as Friday night ($13) and Saturday night ($20).

November 4-6 (Friday-Sunday): Eric plays for various workshops/sessions at the 12th Annual Fiddle Hell as well as helping with logistics for the event.  Over the course of the weekend, Eric will accompany several New England and other jams, play for the contra dance, accompany a few folks in the concert, and more.  On Saturday night, there will be a concert (7:00-9:15 p.m.) and contra dance (9:30-11:00 p.m.) open to the public for $15 for the two.  This will be our third year at The Westford Regency, 219 Littleton Road, Westford, MA.  This new location has more than twice as much space as Concord's Colonial Inn (where we have held the event the 2011-2013), loads of parking, rooms for $TBD/night (special Fiddle Hell rate), and great food on-site and nearby.  Sessions, workshops, the concert and dance, and late night jams will all be under one roof!  Check out the Reiner Family Band web site for more info, cost for the weekend, and the full schedule for Fiddle Hell.

January 15-17 (Friday evening-Sunday afternoon): The Moving Violations play for the Orange Blossom Ball Contra Dance Weekend.  The other band will be The Avant Gardners -- Laura Light on fiddle and vocals, Dave Wiesler on piano, Ralph Gordon on bass, Loren Oppenheimer on tabla and percussion, and Dave Bartely on mandolin.  The callers for the weekend are Bev Bernbaum, Susan Kevra, and Jeremy Korr.  There will also be waltz sessions with Sound Traveler Band.  Dance all weekend to lots of live music on a sprung dance floor!  Gold Star Ballroom, 3100 S. November 6-8 (Friday-Sunday): Eric plays for various workshops/sessions at the 11th Annual Fiddle Hell as well as helping with logistics for the event.  Over the course of the weekend, Eric will accompany several New England and other jams, play for the contra dance, accompany a few folks in the concert, and more.  On Saturday night, there will be a concert (7:00-9:15 p.m.) and contra dance (9:30-11:00 p.m.) open to the public for $15 for the two.  This will be our second year at The Westford Regency, 219 Littleton Road, Westford, MA.  This new location has more than twice as much space as Concord's Colonial Inn (where we have held the event the 2011-2013), loads of parking, rooms for $99/night (special Fiddle Hell rate), and great food on-site and nearby.  Sessions, workshops, the concert and dance, and late night jams will all be under one roof!  Check out the Reiner Family Band web site for more info, cost for the weekend, and the full schedule for Fiddle Hell.

October 22 (Thursday, 7:30-10:30 p.m.): The Moving Violations play for the Thursday Contras series presented by NEFFA, at the Concord Scout House, 72 Walden Street, Concord, MA.  This dance will be a multi-caller evening celebrating the 25th Anniversary of the NEFFA Thursday dance series!  Admission is FREE and there will be special refreshments!

October 17 (Saturday): The Moving Violations will be one of the four bands at the Fall Ball in Peterborough, NH.  The event runs from noon to midnight, and The Moving Violations are playing from 9:00 p.m.-midnight.  It's always such a blast!  More details TBA.  (There's no regular MVs dance in Greenfield tonight.)

October 17 (Saturday, approximately 10:30 a.m.-3:15 p.m.): Along with David Reiner (fiddle, mandolin), and Paul Harty (guitar, mandolin, harmonica, and vocals), Eric will be playing the music stage at the Farm Day Festival at the Daniel Webster Sanctuary of the Mass Audubon Society in Marshfield, MA.  A great day for family fun, with kids games, arts and crafts vendors, food, and more!  Entry is $5 for Mass Audubon members, $7 for non-members, and kids 3 and under are free.  Please note that the event will be postponed to October 24 in case of rain.

April 12 (Sunday, 3:00-5:30 p.m.): Eric plays for the Mostly Waltz for Boston series with Audrey Knuth (fiddle).  The Folk Arts Center of New England's monthly Sunday dances in this series feature a lesson in waltz basics, figures, or styles from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m., followed by live music for dancing until 5:30 p.m.  Intermediate-level "cool moves" or other dance variations will be taught during the break, from 4:10 to 4:30 p.m.  A variety of waltz tunes and tempos are played during the session; every third number is a different couple dance, such as a polka, hambo, schottische, swing, tango, blues, or zwiefacher.  To protect the hall's wooden floor and to make turning easier, please change from street shoes to clean shoes, ideally leather-soled, before dancing.  Concord Scout House, 74 Walden Street, Concord, MA.  Admission is $12; $10 for FAC members; and $6 for young adults.  Your second time attending this Mostly Waltz dance is free!

November 7-9 (Friday-Sunday): Eric plays for various workshops/sessions at Fiddle Hell as well as helping with logistics for the event.  Over the course of the weekend, Eric will accompany several New England jams, play for the contra dance, accompany a few folks in the concert, and more.  There will be a big concert one night, which will be open to the public.  This year, Fiddle Hell will be at The Westford Regency, 219 Littleton Road, Westford, MA.  This new location has more than twice as much space as Concord's Colonial Inn (where we have held the event the past three years), loads of parking, rooms for $99/night (special Fiddle Hell rate), and great food on-site and nearby.  Sessions, workshops, the concert and dance, and late night jams will all be under one roof!  As the event gets closer, check out the Reiner Family Band web site for more info, cost for the weekend, and the full schedule for Fiddle Hell.

October 25 (Saturday afternoon): Private event - Eric plays for a Bar Mitzvah reception with Glenn Dickson on clarinet.

October 17-19 (Friday evening-Sunday afternoon): The Moving Violations play for the 25th Anniversary LCFD (Lavender Country and Folk Dancers) Fall Dance Camp, with Chris Ricciotti calling.  Gender free dancing is the theme of LCFD dance camps.  The main focus is contra dancing, and the program is always supplemented with English country dancing, with The Moving Violations will also play for.  Dancing is pretty much non-stop over the weekend, with meal and sleeping breaks.  The program is organized as a single main track, with some non-dancing breakout-room events on Saturday.  There is a variety show after dinner on Saturday, followed by the major dance, styled as a costume ball (costumes optional).  For the variety show, anyone can do a skit, song, poem, story, comedy, or other performance.  The contra dances are at all levels; all dances are taught.  The weekend -- which includes meals, snacks, and accommodations in dorm buildings -- takes place at Camp Chimney Corners in Becket, MA.  Registration in advance costs $190-280 depending on timing and if you are a student; registration at the door is $225 (students) or $305 (regular); work-study discounts are available.

June 23-29 (Sunday-Saturday): Eric will teach the intro level contra dance piano class, the advanced contra piano class, and a variety of one-afternoon workshops at the always-wonderful and newly-revived Northeast Heritage Music Camp. Other staff will include Andrea Beaton (Cape Breton fiddle), Alan Jabbour (old-time fiddle), David Kaynor (dance caller, fiddle), Stéphanie Lepine (Québecois fiddle), Ken Perlman (clawhammer banjo), David Surette (guitar, mandolin), Pete Sutherland (singing, fiddle, and more), and Nicholas Williams (flute, accordion).  This is a great camp for musicians of a variety of levels, with opportunities to further certain skills and try out new instruments and/or styles, too!  And there's a contra dance each evening!  NHMC is a fun place to learn, jam, socialize, and relax!  The camp will be at the Common Ground Center in Starksboro, VT.

March 15 (Friday, 7:00 p.m.): An amazing concert that's part of Fiddledeis, a weekend of performances, workshops, and jam sessions for fiddlers at Brandeis University.  The concert will feature: Mariel Vandersteel; The Reiner Family Band (David and Andy Reiner, Eric Eid-Reiner, Cindy Eid); Laura Cortese Acoustic Project (Laura Cortese, Mariel Vandersteel, fiddles; Valerie Thompson, cello); and Jeremy Kittel Band (Jeremy Kittel, fiddle; Josh Pinkham, mandolin; Nathaniel Smith, cello; Simon Chrisman, hammered dulcimer).  Tickets cost $20 for general admission, $15 for seniors, and $5 for students with ID.  You can purchase tickets online, by phone at 781-736-3400, and in person at Shapiro Campus Center.  The event will be at Brandeis University in Waltham, MA.

October 10 (Wednesday, 7:15-9:15 p.m.): Domestic violence knows no limits of neighborhood or class or community.  Every year, the Domestic Violence Services Network holds a Candlelight Vigil honoring those who have died at the hands of their abusers in the last 12 months in the Boston area.  This year, it will be held at Temple Isaiah.  Rabbi Howard Jaffe will speak on “The Jewish Response to Domestic Violence,” and Detective Brian Savage of the Lexington Police Department will also contribute.  As each victim’s name is read, a candle will be lit in her/his honor.  Eric will be playing piano as attendees arrive.  After the ceremony, there will be refreshments and time to chat.  The Vigil is free and open to the public.  It is a very moving observance, and perhaps a way to open a conversation about a painful issue hiding in plain sight.  Temple Isaiah is at 55 Lincoln Street (across the street from the Lincoln Fields), Lexington, MA.  The vigil will be held in the Chapel.

May 29 (Tuesday, 2:30-4:30 p.m.): Eric plays with fiddler Jon Cannon at the Lexington Farmer's Market.  May 29 is opening day for the 2012 market season, so come on down for all the extra festivities associated with that!  The market is free, and a great place to buy fresh, local fruits, vegetables, wines, cheeses, baked goods, sauces, meat, fish, crafts, gelato, and more!  It's a pleasant place to walk around, chat, pick up a snack and some ingredients, and of course listen to music.  The market takes place on the Lexington Public School Administration Building lawn at the corner of Fletcher Avenue and Masschusetts Avenue in the town center of Lexington, MA.  (Just look for the tents and food!)

May 17 (Thursday, 7:00 p.m.): Eric gives a talk titled "A Community Tradition: The Story of New England Contra and Square Dancing." In the 1800s, New England barn dances and less formal “kitchen junkets” often brought a community together not just for dancing but as social events.  The nature of square dancing and contra dancing in a community has evolved over time, but remains an essential part of the New England contra and square dance experience today.  Lexingtonian and dance pianist Eric Eid-Reiner will give a talk, and also play some traditional tunes with his brother Andy Reiner on fiddle, as he shares the music, dances, and cultural significance of this lively and enduring New England tradition.  Don’t forget your dancing shoes (sneakers are just fine!).  After immersing yourself in this tradition, you’ll surely be excited for the opportunity to do several of these participatory, beginner-friendly dances right then and there.  A caller will teach all the dances, and no experience is needed.  Admission is just $5 for this event sponsored by the Lexington Tourism Committee as part of "Revolutionary Revelry" month.  The event will be in the auditorium at Cary Memorial Hall, 1605 Massachusetts Ave., Lexington, MA.

November 4-6 (Friday evening through Sunday evening): Eric plays for various workshops/sessions at Fiddle Hell as well as helping with logistics for the event.  He will accompany some of the teachers from Friday's Pre-Fiddle Hell Workshops at the Friday night concert, which is open to the public.  Over the course of the weekend, Eric will accompany a New England Jam as well as a Scottish and Cape Breton Jam, and will teach a workshop on reducing performance stress.  On Saturday, he'll accompany fiddlers at The Big Saturday Night Event (a fiddler's roundrobin where everyone is encouraged to play one short tune, and where everyone also plays some of the Fiddle Hell common tunes together).  More details are coming soon.  Fiddle Hell will be at The Colonial Inn, 48 Monument Square, Concord, MA.  Entry for the weekend is is $60 per adult, and $40 for students under 18 and seniors over 65 years old.  Check out the Reiner Family Band web site for more info and the full schedule for Fiddle Hell.

October 22 (Saturday, 10:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.): Along with my Dad, David Reiner (fiddle, mandolin) and Paul Harty (guitar, mandolin, harmonica, and vocals), I will be playing the music stage at the Farm Day Festival at the Daniel Webster Sanctuary of the Mass Audubon Society in Marshfield, MA.  The cost of the event is $5 for Mass Audubon members, $7 for non-members, and kids 3 and under are free.  There will be traditional music workshops for acoustic guitar (11:30 a.m.-noon) and fiddle (1:15-1:45 p.m.) for beginners through intermediate players.  For kids and adults who already have some experience playing: please bring your instrument.

July 15 (Friday, 7:00 p.m.): Matching Orange plays a concert at the Library Arts Center Gallery and Studio.  Library Arts Center, 58 North Main Street, Newport, NH.  This is a free performance, thanks in part to a grant from the New Hampshire State Council on the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts.

July 12 (Tuesday, 2:00-3:30 p.m.): Eric plays with Rachel Panitch (fiddle) at the Lexington Farmer's Market.  The market is free, and a great place to buy fresh, local fruits, vegetables, wines, cheeses, baked goods, sauces, meat, fish, crafts, gelato, and more!  It's a pleasant place to walk around, chat, pick up a snack and some ingredients, and of course listen to music.  The market takes place on the Lexington Public School Administration Building lawn at the corner of Fletcher Avenue and Masschusetts Avenue in the town center of Lexington, MA.  (Just look for the tents and food!)

July 12 (Monday, 8:00 p.m.): The Reiner Family Band (along with others) plays BCMFest Celtic Music Monday at Club Passim as a benefit concert for the annual Boston Celtic Music Festival (a.k.a. November 14: Held annually and organized by Eric’s Dad, David Reiner, Fiddle Hell is an informal gathering of fiddlers to meet, jam, learn, and have fun. Fiddle Hell runs all weekend, but Eric will just be there on Saturday: accompanying a Scottish and Cape Breton jam (1:00-2:20 p.m.), teaching a beginning-intermediate piano accompaniment workshop (2:30-3:20 p.m.), accompanying an Irish jam led by fiddler Brendan Carey Block and bones player Steve Brown (4:30-6:00 p.m.), and accompanying the big Saturday night event (8:00 p.m.).
